OUR CAMPAIGNS

No Muslim Ban Ever

MPower Action is a leading partner in the No Muslim Ban Ever campaign to end discriminatory policies, expand sanctuary, center directly impacted communities, build solidarity, and raise voices for inclusivity and justice.

2001/2002 AUMF Repeals

MPower Action is a leading partner in the ongoing efforts to reassess and repeal the 2001 and 2002 Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF). These authorizations have been extensively exploited, far exceeding their original intended purpose. Our team tirelessly advocates for the repeal of the 2001/2002 AUMF and strives to raise awareness about their detrimental impact on American foreign policy. Through our advocacy efforts, we aim to foster a more transparent and accountable approach to U.S. military engagement abroad.

Yemen War Powers

Through strategic advocacy, we strive to educate policymakers and the public about the devastating consequences of the Yemen War and the role of the United States in perpetuating the crisis. We work to highlight the urgent need for peace negotiations, humanitarian aid, and a comprehensive solution that prioritizes the well-being and rights of the Yemeni people.

Closing Guantanamo

MPower Action works closely with human rights organizations and activists to amplify the voices of Guantanamo detainees and increase public awareness about their plight. As a result of these changes, MPower Action is well-positioned to continue driving the fight to close Guantanamo forward.

Immigration/Refugee Advocacy

MPower Action is active in the broader immigrant rights movements, including lobbying the current administration to raise the refugee admissions goal and supporting the Afghan Adjustment Act, which aims to provide a permanent pathway to residency for evacuees.

Demilitarization/Ending Militarism

As an organization committed to promoting peace and security, we are committed to ending militarism worldwide. We recognize that militarism extends beyond military conflicts and war zones but also in our daily lives. To address this, we have expanded our focus to encompass the impact of militarism on marginalized communities, specifically communities of color and those facing systemic oppression. We have intensified our efforts to collaborate with local grassroots organizations to amplify their voices and collectively strive for a more equitable and peaceful world.
